TABUK: Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz observed a live drill conducted by the Elite Special Forces (ESF) in the Northwestern Region.
The exercise began with the playing of the Royal Anthem upon Prince Khalid’s arrival, followed by a briefing from the director of the Joint Special Operations Center outlining the center’s functions and objectives.
A visual presentation highlighted the ESF’s advanced operational and technical capabilities, reflecting the Ministry of Defense’s strategic vision to develop highly skilled, specialized units.
Prince Khalid reviewed the detailed scenario of the exercise, which built on earlier drills and tested the ESF’s ability to operate across varied environments and execute complex missions.
He then watched the exercise unfold from the main observation platform.
Afterward, he addressed the troops, commended their performance, and posed for a group photograph.
The event concluded with the minister honoring the ESF participants and accepting a commemorative gift.
